Things will hopefully be relatively quiet today because Remembrance Day in Canada.

I said living single, because it's both technically and overall true, but my mother is sleeping on my couch for at least tonight. My dad's in the hospital for scheduled back surgery, and I'm nearby, so Mom's staying over instead of getting a hotel or driving back and forth from their tiny town.
