Even though using a cane makes me much more stable than those of you who are merely two-leggged, the strain of walking on ice & snow means that pain in my back builds up 2 or 3 times as fast as normal, and is much harder to get rid of. I'm heating or icing almost all the time, except when i take a muscle relaxant and feel better for a few hours -- but depressed.

I am not fond of this level of winter, it can quit any time.

Ugh, that sounds horrendous! I agree. We've had our snow now; the rest of winter can stick to dry, or mere rain.
