one of our fosters gave me a gd heart attack last night - wife completely failed to warn me that when Stratus gets *really* relaxed, he'll do the dead cat flop. Which he did when I picked him up after last night's viewing of an episode of Wednesday, complete with the EXACT death rattle noise our last three cats have made when I've been handling their last rites (a thing I've had to do yet again this week). Cue me freaking out, then HIM freaking out cuz I'm freaking out, then me almost yelling at him for scaring me TO DEATH.

I still haven't forgiven him.
