The preferred contractor came out to give us an estimate and not only was it totally reasonable but they're willing to work with us on payment. Which is good cuz we're going to need to do a fundraiser for this one, whoof (I know, this is way late on this post, but next post is hours off yet and I'm not sure I won't keel over and pass out between now and then). Like yeah, we applied for FEMA assistance, but we're still in limbo there and meanwhile the toilet is now leaking any time there's any water in the tank at all, so it's ... yeah. Bathrooms are always might nightmare, but this is just....

We're going to take another estimate (maybe, if he shows), but we're pretty sure we'll go with J - in these trying times, we're all for supporting a POC-run small business willing to acknowledge that the people who need the help the most aren't going to have a ton of cash up front. :p
