I just got back from a week in CT helping my very elderly parents accept that they need a home health aide and having the first meeting with them. All complicated by Isaias & the incompetence of Eversource, the main CT power company. Thank goodness they have a generator, because I bet they won't have outside power before Sunday or even Monday. And then there's their phone & internet, which are also down until after power is restored (claims Spectrum).

Anyway, although Thursday night is normally my posting slot, I guess this post is good until Friday Eastern time? Although it looks like the last line of the post is a mis-paste.

Day #I've lost track of being too fatigued to get all my shit done, sigh. Kittens + insomnia did not help at all either.

It can be such a struggle to convince someone they need help, even without any added difficulties. I still remember this from my father who even after he agreed, then wanted to cancel the service several times... I hope you found a good fit for your parents.

Mmmm. Kittens are lovely and cute and playful, but they don't stop being playful when you go to bed.

No and they don't respect any schedule but their own, so yeah. Luckily they're more cute than annoying ... until someone tried to jump into bed with me with pee foot. e_e And yet I still managed to get back to sleep after that, so who knows
