My laptop broke yesterday. It's only 2.5 years old and wasn't a cheap one (not high end either but I paid a thousand euro, which is a significant expense for me), but the display now is only showing weird stripes on 2/3 of it. Connecting an external monitor shows a normal image, so I think the LCD display broke. I am disgruntled.

I think I'll look into whether maybe the display can be replaced as repair, because this model is still being sold as far as I can tell and new still costs 700-800 euro now.

We realized we need a travel laptop, and our DIY Framework13 was just delivered. One of the BIG attractions is that every single component is replaceable/repairable.
