Today I installed architectural felt on my housemate's door, because cat #1 will start knocking on said door, very politely, starting at dawn.

Consequently I am a bit pulled down.

I'm just severely fucking depressed. Barely eating, not sleeping well. I don't know *what* specifically can be done for me, as far as the "I could use some help", just maybe any friends seeing this checking in, offering assurances, etc.

Continuing stresses are continuing.

Art therapy/training has resumed, though. Tonight I finally installed the new version of Clip Studio Paint EX and started practicing with it. Feels both awkward and right, particularly at the moment.

We've hit the worst part of summer, where the humidity just saps the life out of me even with A/C and I just want to sleep forever. Sigh. Short fuse is also quite short and I'm just ... so tired. Political news and pandemic news and family news and I just want a break. And maybe a nice order of tea, but we bought a weed whacker instead, so.

This year is so unexpectedly hard, in so many ways, I think we're justified in applying the pilots' rule of "Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing." As in, just getting through counts as an accomplishment.
