We rescued three more kittens, bringing us up to ... entirely too many (12). But they were crying and had clearly been rained on and I couldn't just leave them out in the elements where they could get snatched by a hawk or killed by one of the roving toms or worse. We do at least have a couple co-parenting lactating mommies and the new three, after baths and cuddles and eye medicine, settled into the frankenbox easily enough (we started kitten season with separate nesting boxes, but then the moms decided that wasn't acceptable anymore, so I whipped out the box cutter and the duct tape and made one big nesting box, with room for everybody. So of course three have learned how to climb out. XD). New kittens are Snickers, Twix, and either Almond Joy or Mounds, depending on if fluffball has troublepuffs of not.
