Continuing the conversation from yesterday, as a mod of the community I want to apologize. I feel like we've failed in a basic promise, and I'd like to do better.

I agreed to post daily polls twice a week, and answer if anyone said that they needed help. I assumed someone else was monitoring the polls to see when people *didn't* answer, so that we could try to get in touch. From yesterday's comments, it looks like that didn't happen.

I will talk with my fellow mods and posters to see what has been done in the past, and how we can update those methods to better fulfill our promise in the future.

If there is going to be a 'keeping track' process, could we please have a 'likely to be AWOL, please don't worry' process as well, for people like me who are going to know in advance that we are going to be away? I mean, now that I know that there is a plan to do something, I'll make an effort to flag when I'll definitely be away, but being quite a ways ahead time wise means sometimes I miss a poll being open.

And this started getting rambly, and I am v. tired and cannot work out how to make it make sentences properly, so if you want me to try and clarify my thoughts later, give me some idea which bits did make sense?
