Anyone else living with chronic pain want to give me some comfort that not every day is a bad day, and that even if this week is bad there are better days? Telling myself isn't working, maybe listening to others will.

I've been dealing with chronic pain for ... I'm too tired to math, but over a decade and it is so very variable. I've been having a bad month, too, but it's not constant and there are better days. And still learning that it's all right for me to take medicine to treat the pain, that there's nothing "noble" in suffering. That some days are just going to be bad, but other days will be better, even if it's just because I'm getting better at mitigating the pain.

<3 Thank you. For reasons outside my control, I'm overdoing things, and argh. But yes, painkillers are important, because they stop the body obsessing.
