On top of yesterday, my oldest (90) coolest elder cousin is hospitalized with COVID. This is the guy who, in his mid-80s, was still a downhill ski instructor, and who, when disturbed by a bear at night while camping, chased the bear off with a tire iron. So I am concerned about him and very much hoping he gets better soon. His younger daughter is there as patient advocate; she is intelligent, a medical researcher and very good at translating medicalese, so I am hoping things will go well.
