Woke up two hours before my alarm this morning just in time for one of our foster kittens to fall off the bed, either right after or in the middle of having a major stroke. Stayed with her while she crossed over, didn't tell the boys cuz didn't want to start their mornings with that (they really liked her, she was small and craved snuggles), so now I get to bury another kitten tomorrow. Intellectually, I know there's nothing we could have done, but it still sucks and I just ... I hate having to bury kittens, you know? She was so sweet and loving, too, and then boom, gone.
