I hadn't driven my car in over a month, but I had to run an errand today, so I drove. I was afraid I'd have forgotten how and/or I'd get into a wreck, because worrying is what I do full-time, but of course everything went fine. I should probably just go for a drive every now and then to reassure myself that I remember how.

People seem stupidly eager here to get out and mingle. For now, we're staying home.

It's a good idea to drive it every 2 weeks or so, to keep the battery working right. With most internal combustion cars it takes 6 miles of driving to recharge the amount spent in starting the engine; I am not sure what it takes for hybrids or electrics. I try to drive 10 miles when I go.

Next check-in is probably coming any minute now, but I'm trying to be better about checking in. It's not a holiday here, so I have no good reason for not checking dw until 10pm. I just... didn't. Spent more time away from the internet today. Gonna try to do that more.

I've managed to knit three days in a row now. Not a whole lot any given day, but it's better than nothing. Which is what I'd done since Christmas.

Yes, thank you! B has been driving both our cars for this reason, though I don't think he's been going more than 2-3 miles at a time, as all our errands are close to home. We should probably be taking longer, more scenic trips.

I am making big fuzzy blankets for my nieces. One bright pink (for the ... well, I guess she's 9 now) and one black (for the soon to be 20 year old).

They fell in love with the colorful one I made for linda3m.



Same construction, just solid colors for the girls. :)

Yeah, no. Rocket J Squirrel is definitely not included. The blanket is a cat magnet.
