I think I'm done with self-isolation after today.

Despite feeling like shit due to rain managed to successfully go out to replace my ancient keyboard and my headset that was damaged last Sunday. The keyboard came with the Dell desktop I bought less than a month before Katrina. The headset I got a five or six years ago and it still worked, but the plastic that held the microphone broke and the mic was being held on by just it's wires.

The new keyboard has rainbow lights on it and pleases me. I don't know why they had keyboards in three different places in the store, but they did.

If the space bar hadn't started to stick and not work then produce a random number of spaces, I'd still be using it. Alas, a functioning space bar is required for how I use the computer.

Space bars are definitely important. I also use things until they basically fall apart. It's great. :)

Starting today my city abandoned mask mandates (except on public transport), but at least in my in-person language class tonight everyone continued to wear a mask voluntarily (also everyone is vaccinated because when the course started that was required to enroll). Hopefully that continues as long as the case numbers are so bad.

Not that they want us to notice these -- they also switched to weekly rather than daily publishing of infection numbers. >:(
