Can anyone explain why sometimes my answers are already marked, and I just have to click 'Answer'? Not every time -- maybe once or twice a week -- and not tied to any specific poster. I've found marked answers under everyone's posts but mine.

Not that it's a problem; I can change the pre-marked answers if I want to. But when computers do strange things, I like to know why. Does anyone in this group have a clue?

It happened tonight, which is why I finally broke down and asked, but it's been off-and-on for several months, now. OTOH, it hasn't been from the beginning, although I don't remember when it started. I'm using a Dell laptop running Windows 10, if it affects anything.

Sadly, I have no clue, but argh, intermittent bugs are frustrating! I hope you find an explanation

(I have not seen this behaviour: I'm using Safari under MacOS Sierra, for a potentially irrelevant data point)
