Anyone else spending way too much time agonizing about how *exactly* to phrase emails to people you used to, like, just see and talk to?

I no longer have to social distance from the other person who lives in my home. So yay. We don't normally spend a whole lot of time together, but it was still awkward and annoying.

I've had that for years, for the relatives I used to live within easy walking distance of and now have to make a day trip to see. ("Now" not counting the current situation. Just that it's a multi-hour trip.) It's a hard adjustment.

I keep thinking I'm basically fine, and then I have days like today, when I absolutely lost it over fairly minor frustrations. (Just to be clear, I was at home alone, so by "lost it" I mean I had an emotional meltdown, not that I was horrible to somebody.)

Working in a grocery store, as I do, probably doesn't help. It means I get out of the house most days, but it also means I have to put up with customers taking their frustrations and fears out on people who can't fight back. It builds up.

My best friend (who I live with) works in a grocery store and customers are bloody awful to her for no reason, and you're totally right - it builds up. I wish people would be nicer to grocery store employees, who are going out there and putting their health at risk and already stressed out enough (and they just stopped hazard pay where she works). (People should be nicer in general.) I'm sorry this is happening and please hang in there.

I spoke to my mother over the phone yesterday. She lives on the other side of town, and she's apparently been going out and about like normal for the last month. She went to a restaurant on the first day the opened back up, and she's planning on going to a graduation party/potluck for a friend's daughter this weekend. I was too horrified to say anything beyond pointing out that our county has the highest case count in the state. Last year, her behavior would be perfectly fine. This year? I'm afraid to go near her.

YAYAY!!! what a relief!

Right? I'm taking care of all the bills early this month so I know how much I'll have left at the end.

Of all the ammassed retail therapy I've done. xd

If I've done my math right, I should have about $200 or so. ... give or take some. That'll help carry me into next month, too, which is nice.
