I got little sleep last night. Beautifulcat, aka Babe, our younger cat, went missing midday. We checked indoors and outdoors, all the way up and down the street. I went out in the cold last night to check her usual hiding places. But today she was found in a new one, the darkest possible place under the black couch. She is not moving much, but active enough to show claws when we tried to get her out; she has not eaten much or had water that I know of. And the vet is not open till tomorrow. So we wait.
