The insurance company tried to cancel my mom's lung surgery at the nth hour, but smallest sister spent 11 minutes and 36 seconds on the phone with the insurance company and we're good to go at 5am tomorrow morning as planned. It was a very emotional 15 minutes or so.

If you have any prayers / good vibes / pleasant thoughts, Mom would appreciate them. Surgery tomorrow will be 3-6 hours and she'll be in the hospital for 3-5 days after.

Smallest sister worked for a couple different eye doctors before going back to school. Sometimes she was the person at the doctor's office arguing with the insurance company. Knowing which department to talk to and what the magic phrases were cut down on her phone time. Also she threatened to stay on the phone until this got resolved.
