Today has been mostly emotionally taxing. Keeping in touch with various people I know who were riding things out has been tricky. So far everyone I know is okay. There's been various trees down and damage to roofs and leaks that are concerning, but the people are okay.

Where I and my parents etc are staying we had rain about like you'd see for a tropical storm, mostly in the morning. I did my best to sleep through it. (I get migraines triggered by shifts in barometric pressure.) Tomorrow some more family will end up at an Air BnB just a few streets away. Being able to visit will help us all.

I would very much like to hug the SU right now, but he's three hours away and on lockdown at his work. (IT for hospital. They have generator. Building has a small leak, but not where they are.)

I've been fairly incandescent with rage off and on all evening thanks to the situation at the house. Landlady and her [insert creative expletive here] husband, neither of whom, CLEARLY, know the first thing about gardening or yardwork, took it upon themselves to come onto the park for the first time this calendar year to pointedly (and badly) do about half the work the lawn guy was quoting her on. She claims he was involved but, uh, bullshit, not with the way the work was half-assed. She still expects us to pay half of his original quote for work we haven't actually agreed to have him do and that we'd told her we were looking into other quotes for, but she's saying she's already contracted him to do it, so yeah, like I said, absolutely incandescent. Plus at this point, if we WERE going to go with Paco, I'd be wanting to set up a payment play with him directly, not going through her, since we can't trust her for shit. Not that we can afford this, which she damn well knows. She's threatening to start eviction proceedings, too, and honestly, if it wasn't physically and financially impossible for us to move out, we'd be gone tomorrow and leave her with the whole nut, fsck it.

I was supposed to do bedding laundry today, but I can either do laundry or I can do yardwork, and since I now have to clean up the mess her husband made of my ornamental garden (again), yardwork it is.

My good news is that today I got the permanent crown installed for my broken tooth, and the bite seems to fit well so far. Unfortunately the tooth is now newly irritated, so it's hurting a bit again. But the dentist said it should calm down faster than after the temporary crown (which took four days), so hopefully that will be true.

Trying to figure out a payment solution for the machine I need for my sleep apnea. Getting in touch with people whose advice I need, not knowing when to send off which forms to where, bracing to spend money I've been trying to hold in reserve for other things.
