My 18 month old nephew wakes up at 4am. He does okay at being quiet that early.

I'm evacuated for Ida and safe. We'll have some rain, but nothing too terrible. I'm mostly anxious over the SU who had to stay at work and the friends who didn't evacuate.

Just got power back a few hours ago. No damage, tree bits all over the yard.

Ida was a more powerful storm than Katrina. The big difference is that the rebuilt levees held, and were not over-topped. Plenty of trees down. Cell towers down. Power knocked out all over the state.

And an alligator ate someone during storm surge flooding in my town.
